2011 FILM FESTIVAL
About Eurocinema Hawai'i Film Festival

Thought-provoking, bold and nostalgic, film can change our perception of a country, cultural issue, or individual. Founded and Incorporated as a 501c3 in 2009, EuroCinema Hawai’i (ECH) is dedicated to cultural exchanges between the people of Europe and Hawai'i through film and to providing scholarships for Hawaii-based creative media students. Our EuroCinema Festival is held in conjunction the Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) creating a festival within a festival and showcasing the very latest and best films of Europe.
This year, our opening evening gala was held, once again, at the historic Moana Surfrider Hotel on October 15, 2011, with a red carpet event emulating a bit of the "promenade de la croisette" of the Cannes Film Festival.
The Princess Dialta Alliata di Montereale Awards

The annual EuroCinema Hawai'i film festival includes a separate jury comprised of film directors, producers, actors and film scholars charged with selecting the Princess Dialta Alliata di Montereale Awards for best Film and Best Student Film, as well as the categories of Best Director, Best Actress and Best Actor. The Princess Dialta Alliata di Montereale Award was designed by Tiffany & Co.
